Sensory Rooms

Sensory rooms are used by a variety of service providers . The one you see here was created due to parent donations. These rooms include special lights, smells, swings, balance boards, inflatable jumping areas, anything to help calm OR stimulate the senses of a special needs individual.

APE Master Teacher: Kanoa Elizondo/Carlsbad School District

The lights change with the push of a button that the student is in charge of.
To stimulate the olfactory senses the student can choose from different smells that omit from the machine. The optic wires change colors and can be draped across the students lap or the students can "comb" them with a large plastic comb like structure
